Rear Headrest Mystery: Where do they all go?

Why are all the headrests for the wagons missing? So many listed wagons for sale have them missing. Where can they be purchased?

They are/were a pain to take off and put back on even though MB provided a neat storage area on the side of the bottom seat. Check the junkyards?

You don't see them on every wagon because they weren't spec'd on every wagon. Generally speaking, you'll see them on wagons with the third row. If not, then they are likely missing from that particular wagon.

You can also determine if rear headrests were spec'd from the factory by the presence of headrest holes on the top of the seat back.

Chameleon (who is for sale) has all three of the 2nd row headrests and a near virgin 3rd row seat. All in Palomino.

I guess I should add some interior pics of this car to the For Sale thread.

too bad its a tan interior or i would hassle you for parting that car out. You should consider it. That dash can fetch more than half the cost of your sale.

The dash is a cap --- not to be confused with an original un-cracked dash.

Could you illustrate this storage area for us? I'm curious what this is.

On the S124, the rear headrests slide into the holes built onto the rear face of the bottom cushions when the rear seats are folded. Do the S123s have this same setup?
