Lucky you live in the UK... the cops here in Northern California are dicks.. at least in my area... I had an accident, not involving anybody else, no property damage aside from car I was driving. I got interrogated and got a ticket!!

Well, my desire for a manual transmission and the inflated price of diesel cars in the UK has led me down the path of a 190e 2.0. I hear this engine won't be far off the reliability of the OM60X diesels, should get similar fuel economy and should have a bit more go (122hp!) in it.

I'm still looking for a good example, but rest assured I'll sticking around this forum for advice on the chassis. I'll probably go back to a diesel W124 when I finally 'grow up' and want an automatic transmission.
