Dead Dash 85 300SD

On cold start-up no gauges, no glow light, no indicator lights, no blower fan. Cluster lights work. Not every day, but cold for certain. Starts and everything else is normal. Warms up and all goes back on and normal all day. I think a relay, but which one? Could be ignition switch?

Welcome to the forum.

On cold startup, the blower fan will not operate by design. The engine needs to reach about 50C. before it'll start.

The gauges live on fuse 12. Replace fuse 12 and clean the brass contact points and see if your problem is resolved.

Do not return here and claim the "fuse is good". We've BTDT too may times with others.

While you're cleaning

Buy some deoxit and clean every connector and ground that you can find. Include battery cables (both ends) and the trigger wire to the starter. Don't forget the junction on the passenger fender. Be sure to disconnect the battery before you do much (any) with the electricity.
