1995 E300D Electronics
Does anyone have knowledge of the 1995 E300D's electronics/computer? Are all the sensors read by the computer? Any info on protocols and reading data off the computer would be terrific. I'm a Navy trained ET, and currently an EE major. All the talk about idiot lights and loss of oil pressure in another thread led me to some ideas.

If it's the same as the '94/'95 gas engines, there is a multi-pin connector next to the battery that will give you blink codes from a code reader.
Search "code reader" on the gas/tech forum. Different pins for ABS, ECU, CCU, etc as apparently they're different computers but communicate on the CANBUS. The code reader info might also be in the DIY section, Arthur Dalton has outlined how to build one (simple). Nice diagnostic help compared to the non-electronic, not as nice as OBDII.
