My bought new '99 E300TD w/120K miles is in better condition - and I'd let it go for $10K.

That one is waaay overpriced.

Nice, but for that money I'd look for a turbo version, 1998-1999 IIRC, FSH, etc. Of course that's just the asking price so you could possibly knock a few g's off the price.

Price is a personal matter. It may be worth it to you.

Paying a little more for a car that is nearly perfect is justifiable if you can foresee not having to invest gobs of money in the near future. However, a 13 year old car is a 13 year old car.

I've seen low mile 211 diesels in the $20's.

107,000 miles, accident reported on the Carfax and they want $11,750?!?! That's a ripoff. Buy yourself a nice turbo '98 or '99 for less.

Yep, keep looking! The headlight lenses look milky, instead of shiny and clear as well.

That's the first giveaway that it's been in the sun/weather it's whole life. Not good. My '99's lenses are clear as new. Garaged 100%.

If you're really interested, go check it out in person and make an offer. It looks pretty clean from the photos.

I had a one owner '98 that was garaged its whole life. The paint/interior still looked like new. The lenses were fogged over. Got to be something else.

My front seats have been covered since new with canvas, BMW style aftermarket covers. My seats aren't like new......they are new. Never ever has had passengers/kids/pets crawling around the interior either.

I actually bought my car new, too.

The car I purchased spent its whole life in northern Virginia. Maybe it has something to do with a poor rubber seal around the lenses? I took mine completely apart and polished them. Helped a little, but not a lot.

I misunderstood you. I thought you bought the car new>??

Unless you bought it new, unfortunately you have no firsthand knowledge of where it was actually parked during daylight hours. Safe bet your's has been parked a lot in direct sunlight. The lenses don't turn milk white sitting in a garage when not being driven. -That's where mine's been since I bought it new July '99 - garaged. No wrecks, hail, or other damage either.

The lenses on our '96 were not nearly that bad at 248,000 miles because the car was garaged most of its life. What yellowing/fogging/pitting there was I easily polished off with a 3M kit; the lenses now look new. That eBay car has had a lot of ungaraged exposure and if it's also got an accident history is worth perhaps $7000 at best.

NADA says $9400USD Clean Retail. The no turbo is a big disappointment to me.
