I got a Check Engine Ligth, stopped at my indy mechanic. He was too busy but did take the time to scan on his Snapon scanner and found two error codes:

- P1401 - B 28/3 EGR Lift Sensor and,
- P1520 -S40 CCS Switch.

While CCS is cruise control switch which I don't even have any problem with it at all with it.

The problem is "P1401 - B 28/3": EGR Lift Sensor.

Can any body tell me where is the EGR Lift Sensor on this model, 96 E-300D? Any photo or link to photos?

How do I trouble shoot it?
