Smile new guy with a 84 300sd few questions

So i bought this thing 3 months ago. I have been tinkering with it so far i have installed elect fuel pump, inline fuel heater, and full crank of the alda. Still very little smoke. i have also had a 3 inch straight pipe installed and custom rigged huge air filter no it's not k&n or anything that has to be oiled. The boost gauge only reads 10 psi at wot. I am thinking about blocking the tube for the waste gate for more. Also the rear end sags kinda bad it does not bottom out but still does not look right. Any advice or help will be appreciated

Welcome to the forum!!
Sounds like you are running WVO. There are many threads about its use on here.

Could you please put some details in your signature so that we know a little about your car.

Does the car have sls ? I note in a recent thread there was discussion of the front suspension spacers making the car look low in the rear.

Other members i am sure will add to this.

Good luck with your car!

Welcome! Have you adjusted the valves on the car? Checked the injectors? How is the compression? What are you looking to do with the car make it go fast? or just run better? Also run Diesel in your Diesel car, it will help.

And what kind of air filter is it? I know you said its not K&N but still IMHO the factory is best. You can always rig up a California style filter if you feel you need more air.

If you are serious and have the time and money and mechanical skills you can rig up a VNT turbo go to the performance section of this forum and read up. Also there you will find about every mod you can do to these cars within reason.

Garrett GT2056V (Liberty CRD turbo) on a 617.

The factory one might be better but being the mounting brackets all rusted out and it rattled real bad this other one i have on there is just fine. It's winter so i have been running just diesel in it with Howes anti gel. Sometimes i mix a little 2 stroke for added lubrication. I have not done a valve adjustment or tested the injectors. I just recently found a place where i can get good parts for pretty good prices. I needed motor mounts. I also need a blower motor or the relay for it because it stopped working. This is a $500 car that was in a field for along time. I'm just trying to do what i can to make it hold oil and be a good cruising car.

Okay! its winter and your location says Indiana you shouldn't need antigel, the winter diesel fuel should be enough and I don't know if I would run 2 stroke oil in your car. I never heard of it needing more lubrication.

A very important peice of advice is to get genuine mercedes parts, really they are the best and the others will break and break soon. You can always click the link at the top to order parts. Phil (the parts guy) is very very nice and very reasonable. And he will price match!

Also for parts you might want to check the parts section of this forum many nice people with good parts.

So what all have you done to this car? And what are the problems that need to be addressed?

The problems i need to address are the rear end sag. The power windows in back come off track and the driver side does not work at all. The oil leak from the turbo return line and the fact that i can only get 10 psi boost. Again it has 3 inch exhaust all the way back and a different air filter electric fuel pump and inline fuel heater.
