Autopal Light Upgrade / Aiming

Just installed these in my car,

There is definitely a good bit more light output from the H4s than the sealed beams, and their E-code. Poor mans euro lights

Does anyone have instructions on properly aiming the headlights? I looked in the FSM and theres nothing on aiming the lights. I noticed that my drivers side light is a bit higher up than the passenger side... I think it was that way before with the old bulbs too, but now it bothers me.

I put those lights in my car. They rock!! I got 2 sets... A set of Bosch e-codes and a set of Autopal e-codes. There was no differences in the quality visibly looking at the headlight itself, beam patterns, brightness, etc... The Autopals I got were like the motorcycle version. They do not have the shield in front of the bulb. The Bosch lights had the shield. On low beam, it seemed like the Autopals put out a little more light because of the lack of a shield. Both of them are great. But I chose the Autopals because of the quality/price and sent the Bosch back.

Edit: I really wanted the Cibie's.... But $$$.

I had those on my car for a while too, eventually I went with GenII W126 style lights from a 560SEL at the junk yard.

I had a set of Auto-Pal lights a few years back. seem to throw out some good light. I think the box said, made in India. they looked exactly like the old seal beams.
Replaced them about 3 yrs ago when one took a good rock hit.
I couldn`t find another set of Auto-pals, but found a set that has that Diamond reflector and the tri bar with the bulb shield. Iam not real thrilled with the way the light is thrown out in front.

seems like I read one time, to pull up to a flat wall, and stop 25ft from it. adjust the lights to hit the bottom on the wall. and shine to the right so on coming drivers aren`t blinded.
that may not be right, but sounds good. I have them cranked up so I can see where Iam going.

+1 to Daniel Stern's article on headlight aim

Those who need a little more light on the sides, can aim the right headlight a little to the right. The left side of the beam pattern provides sufficient foreground lighting.
