MB 300D Grease Car: Needs new engine -

From Craigs list. Title kind of says it all:

'92 Mercedes Grease Car: Needs new engine - $1800 (Davenport, FL)

We converted the mercedes a few years ago. We replaced a lot of the parts, unfortunately the engine died. The grease kit and fuel pump pay for the car itself. Will even throw in a few cubes of oil.

Oh come on... don't you know Rudolf Diesel designed his engine to run on peanut shells and small rocks!

Use Water-Injection on it....

That'll curre the loss of compression--IF that is the cause by Ring-Gumming...

Run WI for 50 to 100 miles, will remove the gums and restore compression fully!

Our honorable members here who hate alternate fuel - Does this post imply engine using diesel will run forever? Any diesel engine will bite the dust at some time.

Only the ones sold on Ebay last forever

I am not against alternate fuels. Just saying that in an unmodified engine (water injection ) wvo will shorten the life of that engine. Can you drive 20,000 miles between oil changes? Yes, but engine life will be reduced.
