fuel filter leak

I don't go to a Mercedes dealer; just my regular mechanic. I had my fuel filter changed yesterday for 1983 240D. I used a Wix. The old filter didn't leak but the new filter has a slow leak. What do I need? Do I need an o ring and can I get one that fits from autozone? I'm not a mechanical type so I need to get info as for a total auto newbie.
