X2 on this mod I've used it in the past and works great a bit of additional redding if anyone cares to.
CAR BATTERIES ARE NOT 12 VOLTS

One thing to bear in mind is to be sure your digital volt meter (DVM) is accurate! I have 4 DVM's and they all read different, some by as much as 1 volt. What do you use as a reference to calibrate your DVM?
Also, the voltage measurement should be taken at the battery, not the cigarette lighter, where there will be a small voltage drop.
