OM 300 Diesel motor information
Hi just purchased an old yacht the information given to me it was built in 1967
Also they told me the diesel motor is a Mercedes Benz motor they say the model is a Mercedes MODEL: Said to be OM300 TYPE: 6 cylinder diesel POWER: Said to be 74.2 Hp. I have inserted a picture of the motor if anyone can give me any information about motor is much appreciated, manuals spare parts and so. Last edited by sillybilley; 03-15-2010 at 05:21 PM.

Wow, that looks like a small monster! What sort of boat is it in? Welcome to the Forum. I'm afraid I don't know anything about your motor, but someone will come on soon to answer your question(s).
FWIW, knowing what little I do know about MBZ engines, it should last for quite some time if reasonably cared for (oil, filters, etc.).

The boat was built in Taree, NSW, Australia...
