The 717.404 getrag 5 spd came out of a 86 or 87 2.3 16v 190E with the cosworth head and headers.
That trans has the dogleg first, and 5th is direct. IE 1:1. the shifter has to be lifted to go into first, like you do for reverse.

The 717.410 and 717.411 both have overdrive on 5th.

I was hoping for a getrag but never saw the "16v" on the trunk. It's ok, I would rather use one of the two I have. This 190e is really nice. No rust,nice paint and it had a perfect interior(red). Someone put a rip in the dash taking the heater core and I may have messed the console up being too rough with it. Never did find anymore than one screw to remove it.
