I just got back from the grocery store with the 85 300SD. As I walked in an extremely elderly couple in a bright red Buick that looked new and was as long as my Suburban were pulling upto the front of the store. After the lady got out he attempted to make a U-turn between the front of the store and the concrete and grass island at the end of the parking row. As I tried to wave him off so he would not damage his car, he proceeded to hit the air dam below his bumper and drive a tire up and over the curb. He had ignored me so I walked on in. As I did so the car that had been parked next the Benz left. I should have waited a moment. When I came back out the space next to my car was empty
and a 6 inch long scrap was from the end of the bumper to where the fender starts. This on a car that has been garaged since new and when parked my Dad would say "Hell if I can hike all over Korea and Vietnam I can certainly walk a little farther to keep my car nice" ( sorry Dad). As I got in the car a man walked up and confirmed my suspicions that the elderly gentleman had hit the car and when he realized it backed out and moved to another spot. Then he picked up his wife and left. NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED ! Thanks for listening. Alan ![]()
