at this point, I would be looking for indicators of a recent top-end overhaul.

ie.. mangled bolts, uneven distribution of grime, clean parts. .. a shiny black headgasket sticking out from underneath the head

are you familiar with the casting numbers and where to find them?

Are the injectors at an angle?

The number is somewhat blocked by the crossover. You are interested in the last 4 numbers. 14 01 is an original head number, 22 01 would be the latest and greatest.

Hi, This is getting Exciting! Let me say lets get basic here. First remove Tstat.. second remove hoses from Rad. . Third Run garden hose through top hose does water exit through bottom hose? No? Somebody put something together wrong! Water exits? Put back together fill w/h2o pull injectors and do a Leakage test. Bubbles? OH OH! no bubbles things are looking better! As an aside, I worked in New England for a number of years and I found it a great place to get many surprises (spelled screwed) on cars if you are not very careful! StillI recomend anyone buying a car to get apre purchase inspection!! I saves soo many headaches and$$$$. Hope this helps.
