Some how I think the WVO/Bio claim is a bit of a joke!!
If you want performance, like you would with a rod, it will be running on the highest calorific value fuel it can ~ petro diesel.

Nah, I disagree....

Although BioDiesel has a lower Cal. Value, its an Oxygenated fuel--Unlike std. D2...

Therefore, you can chuck More in before excess smoke and high EGT's

More Fuel, = More Power

Thats why Methanol/Alcohol gasser equivalent can have higher power outputs than their gas powered equivalents--You just need a shed-load MORE fuel to do the job!
Alcohol has only a 60% calorific value to std. petrol!

Interesting that the truck racers down here dont use ester fuel & its available to them.
The find they get the biggest bang for their buck out of petro diesel. They push the big rigs to their limit.

... but didn't Rudolph Diesel design his diesel engine to run on peanut oil and floor-sweepings?

Sorry, I felt that this thread needed a troll.

Coal dust. back in the day, Germany used a lot of coal, Rudolf`s idea was to use the coal dust to run his engine. didn`t work too well, dusted his engine.
