wonky antenna
my 83 300d turbo has developed a peculiar problem about a month ago. when i turn off the car, the antenna starts going down, then up a bit, then down, but not all the way down. i have also seen it move up a few inches while approaching my car. when i open the trunk, sometimes it moves a few inches. it is kind of like she is wagging her tail when she sees me. i took apart the antenna switch, but all i found was some dark grease in there [is that switch supposed to be greased?]. i left the switch disassembled, but the antenna still acts up. anyone have this happen to them? could it be a faulty relay? if so, where could i find it?

Hahahaha! This happens to me sometimes too... I didn't think it happened to anyone else! I don't know what's wrong, and it doesn't bother me because it fixes itself after a day and only does it sporadically... I'd swap the antenna's motor if it bothered me enough. I don't believe the switch has anything to do with it... I swiched the antenna off and it kept doing that. Try taking the motor out and cleaning it. They can sure pack some serious dirt inside...

haha! I wouldn't say mine wags at me, but it does like to groan whenever I turn the radio on. I can tell it's attempting to extend the whole way, but that just isn't happening.
