Double Check my brake work - 83 240D

Hey,

So I haven't actually started my brake work, but this is my first time doing something of this magnitude. I need to replace my master cylinder (leaking), brake booster (damaged from leaking master cylinder), brake pads (wear sensor indicator just went off) and rear rotors (dealer says one is warped).

So I want to double check my plan of action with you guys, just to make sure that I'm not missing anything, because the benz is my only car - so once the wheels are off, I'm stuck till it's done. Also, my dad always told me that the more you plan, the less you F-up.

So here is my order of attack:
  1. Remove the old master cylinder
  2. Remover the old booster
  3. Attach new booster
  4. Bench bleed new cylinder
  5. Attach new cylinder
  6. Jack up car
  7. Remove rear wheels
  8. Remove brake pads
  9. Attach new brake pads
  10. Remove calipers
  11. Remove old rotors
  12. Attach new rotors
  13. Re-attach calipers
  14. Bleed brakes
  15. Attach wheels
  16. Profit!
Am I missing anything? Any other questions?

So here is my order of attack:
  1. put fender protection blanket on fender
put plastic and rags under master cylinder
  2. Remove the old master cylinder
  3. Remover the old booster
  4. Attach new booster
  5. Bench bleed new cylinder
  6. Attach new cylinder
loosen lug bolts unless you have impact wrench
  7. Jack up car
    support car with jack stands!@
  8. Remove rear wheels
  9. Remove brake pads- don't bother on the caliper you're changing
  10. Attach new brake pads not on the one you need to change?
  11. Remove calipers
  12. Remove old rotors
  13. Attach new rotors
  14. Re-attach calipers
  15. Bleed brakes use a power bleeder, MUCH simpler!
  16. Attach wheels
  17. Profit!

I would change both calipers at the same time.
also get new flex lines to the calipers. unless YOU have changed them recently.
