82 300TD w/SLS - rear wheels tilt in at top!
1982 300TD wagon - 340k+ miles.
The rear wheels on our beloved Ava tilt in noticeably at the top. Now, my understanding, these are NOT a "swing axle", and the rear wheels should remain upright at all times, correct? So, where should I look for problems. The bushings where the 'wishbones' mount up under the car??? I should also mention, I recently replaced the accumulators - although the old ones were not full of fluid, and I can't simply push the diaphragm in with a screwdriver, they were bad all the same - ride was "boat in the water"ish - now rides much better, and the SLS seems very happy and functional. Still, she sits 3/4" lower on the drivers side - only 12.25 inches star center to fender - 13" on the other... |

Now that I look at a photo (2nd page of above linked-to post) of the rear out on the ground, I can see that if the suspension is low, the geometry will cant the wheels in at the top... yes?
