What I do is take all the door panels off and check all the actuators (trunk & fuel door also) then pull the passenger side carpet up and start trouble shooting with the mity Vac.
On my newly acquired TD I found two leaking door pods, a bad selector valve in the driver door, a leaky rubber grommet where the vacuum line goes into the aft storage tank (egg crate) and the linkage disconnected in the back hatch pod. The system now holds vacuum for at least 4 or 5 cycles. Geez, no wonder the locks didn't work

Thank you for the color diagram link, I was looking for it!
I can fix the system. I need a Mitivac. I'll just get it working manually first and then think about fixing it. |
