a 10mpg variance in the speedo seems extreme. Do we have larger rims/tires?

I painted my speedo so there is more weight on it so getting to the 12 position on the speedo it drags and then shows faster as I get to 1 and 2 oclock. at 65 its right on.

hmmmm

FYI

If anyone thinks to use the tachometer to check or substitute for the speedometer.

Don"t...

Slipping/excess wear of the transmission clutch disc's and/or brake bands = a huge potential variable rpm versus speed range.

Bad trans = overheating engine
