Cabin sensor for 300D - do I have the right part?

I just restarted the project that has been dragging on for some time... replacement of the broken cabin sensor in my 300D. I got the part from Phil (126 830 17 72) but after uninstalling the old one I'm wondering if I have the right replacement part... see the pictures below of old and new parts. From left to right: old sensor, new sensor, both next to each other.

Well, I hope you can see these photos below... on my browser the eBay Motors ad gets in the way when I checked the pics - kind of annoying...

"Seeing" the Picture I Understand your difficulty (Answer to your question is, NO)

What you've got (NEW) is the Heater Core Temp sensor. (See Pictogram)

What you want is the Cabin temp sensor.

I could not locate that in FastLane or AllParts... does anyone have a part number for the cabin temp sensor?
