So...if SHE needs a new car, get HER a car. What does that have to do with selling the Benz? Better yet, get her a Honda, sell the Volvo, buy a truck (parts hauler - in exchange for the Volvo) & keep the MBZ. Perfectly logical.

I had a girl try to tell me once I had to pick between her or my friends (she didn't like them). She didn't like the Benz very much either.

Needless to say we're no longer together

Don't do anything drastic Mr. Hogan, just show her realize the best parts of a MB.

The next girlfriend I had not only loved the Benz but was cool with the boys

It's okay to paint it as long as you take several pictures just before hand (before and after pics) to show the new owner there was no damage. I've done this before and worked great. Throw the local newspaper on the hood (before pic) and take a picture for the skeptical ones that don't believe the timeframe of pictures.

So she says you do? My wife wouldn't ask me to sell my MB. In fact, she has one too.

We picked up the Civic last night and she is now happy as a lark.

Good riddance to the d&mn Accord with the seized rings. Never again will I buy a first production year car. Carmax gave us $4k for it. I was ready to accept $2k so I am happy.
