Mystery clutch plate
Pulled a manual transmission off a junkyard 1974 240D. Clutch plate lining measures 3.1 mm on each side. Transmission manual specifies to replace the clutch at around 1.7 mm. I'd like to save myself the $184 dollars of purchasing a new clutch if I can help it, but I don't want to end up back under the car in a year or two to replace the clutch. Should I use the old clutch or replace it as preventative maintenance now? Attached are pictures of the part.
Thanks,
Andrew
