Vacuum Connectors needed for a Vac System Overhaul?

OK it is finally time for me to break down and spend a weekend working on my Vacuum system. I had some transmission issues last year that I had first thought were Vacuum related but thanks to the great help of folks on this forum I was able to discover it was the B2 band piston. While I was diagnosing the tranny problem I messed up some of the vacuum lines and I need to get under the hood (and the dash) with a MityVac now.

My question is what parts do I need to order now to prevent this from turning into a month long ordeal of diagnosing and waiting for parts to arrive only to find new parts that I need? Things like vacuum line I am going to order a few meters of the OEM stuff but I realize I can get Vacuum Line easily locally. I am mostly asking about connectors and such. Is the black rubber hose that connects a vacuum hose to a valve (or anything else) just a two inch snip from a rubber hose? Or does it need to be a special vacuum fitting?

Obviously I do not want to order every dashpot and check valve when I don't yet know if I need them but are there ones that are almost always needing to be replaced and I could go ahead and get it now? What parts are easily found at local places (auto stores, dealer) for reasonable prices?

Systems that I know of currently not working because of vacuum:

- Shutoff
- Vent Switch between middle vents and defroster
- None of the door locks or trunk locks work

Answer

The black rubber hose that connects the nylon tubes to everything else, are simply a two inch snip from a rubber hose spool.
