Yes, a big expense. But worth it in my opinion... I enjoy having my lights work properly in inclement weather!

Yes, for Michigan Winters, the proper wipers would be almost mandatory. When driving in Slushy Snow there's nothing like hitting that button and getting more light without having to stop and brave the elements. For our Winters in Texas they are only an occasional convenience.

I went with depo euro lights on my W124 92 300D. I'm very happy with the fit and finish. Lots more light then the stock lights. My barn doors were in very rough shape. I'm in FL so don't need the wipers. The main difference between pre 94 and post 94 are the way they're molded because they changed the hood.

Good luck.

In contrast, my TYCs are very poorly made. Better light than DOT headlights but the same can be said for candles.

Wiper Motors....

I know this is an old thread, but....

I have noticed that the sweep rotation of the wipers is opposite (pre vs post facelift). I.e.- the facelifted driver side wiper sweeps clockwise and the passenger side wiper sweeps ccw if looking at the front of the car. The pre-facelift wipers are the opposite....driver's sweeps ccw and passenger's sweeps cw.

Does anyone know if the motors and shafts/rods are interchangeable with pre vs post facelift cars? I know that I would have to swap passenger and driver side to achieve the proper sweep rotation direction, but are the motors the same? If so, then I would just have to find body panels with the correct hole locations and longer arms to match the post facelift...

The motors are different, since they operate in the opposite direction. The contacts to make the washer motor fire are in the passenger side motor IIRC.

You can take them apart and mix / match parts.
