Craig's List Alert! Great Car! Thistle Green '82 300D

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/1976757373.html

My neighbor is selling a very beautiful thistle green '82 300D for 3,000.00! Car is very clean and has a special order european interior in green -have never seen this MB tex before! Car has no rust, strong engine, fires as fast and perhaps a millisecond faster than both my cars which start immediately. He is downsizing and moving to AZ and going to rely on a very nice tdi Mitsubishi Delica - I knwo this car, a steal and I would buy immediately if I had any money at this time -car is in Napa Valley -

Fun colors are cheap to buy, over here in the UK odd colors like this green on Mercedes sell at least 1/2 the price of the average red/blue/black etc with silver being the top end on price.

They are a cheap buy if you are prepared to swop interiors over and maybe repaint the car.

And the odd thing is the color seems to attract the 'old miss Daisy' type of owner who has all the service history and used the car once a week for church and kept it garaged the rest of the time so they are in far better condition body wise than their brighter colored relatives.

"Oh, I would also take a partial trade for wine, good wine. If you show up with a pallet of two-buck chuck, I have a taser..."

love it

I e-mailed the guy to compliment him on the car and mentioned the wine comment. He replied "Life is just too short to drink bad wine".

Love the color!!!!!
And the taser line gave me a nice chuckle. Nice dis-arming line to have in a car ad. Smart......

That's the same color as the euro five speed rust bucket 300D here in NY. I gotta get that guy to come down to like $300 for th whole car..... I'll take the tranny and give the rest to Jimmy L and he can have another green diesel MB.
