Blower motor running. No heat flow out vents

Hello, I have tried to find some info on this problem and could not.

We are working on getting airflow to come out the vents, for example: Turn the temp. wheel to max heat and push the defrost button....blower motor is working very well but no airflow(heat) comes out the vents on the top of the dash. In any selection on the ccu we get no airflow from any vents, but the blower motor is absolutely working.

I am wondering if there is a main flap somewhere that is not opening, like close to the blower motor box. This is on the 1985 300TD, Thanks.

There is a main air flap that is supposed to be opened when the system is anything but off. If you have a bad solenoid #17 or a bad pod or a vacuum leak in that section this may be your problem.

If you have the FSM CD check out 83-604a.pdf. That shows all the vacuum diagrams for the different functions.

Vacuum pods...totally notorious for failing when they get old. Check also loose vac lines.

sounds like you have no vacuum to the pods. check for leaks under the hood first, then pull the ac controls and check the vacuum lines at the row of solenoids behind it.
