That picture is of the old Iron box with the bolt on bell housing. same picture in the Haynes W123 manual.
The shift rods are totaly different in their bends. still uses the same shift gate. The Haynes manual for the 190, 1984 thru 88, shows the best info on the manual transmission. It is for the 5 spd, but the lay out of the rods and shifter is the same. the 5 spd is just a litle longer than the 4 spd, also the shift levers are mounted the same on the transmission. the Haynes manual # 1643.
