Upgrading lights
I got a 94/5 E320 Eurotype headlight, the one with the bevel in it. What do I have to do to wire this in? It has a different type of connector then the OE one.

What's the difference? I put Euros on my '91 without a problem.

Well, the problem is, the lights have a Pin type connector Vs the OE lights which have a connector right to the lights

My Euros plugged right in. The three pin connector still connected directly to the headlight bulb, and fog light ad it's own self contained connector. The only pin connectors I use are for the turn signal. Are the pin connectors attached to the housing or the primary bulb?

Try removing you OEM bulb and put it in the Euros. You can upgrade the bulb later as long as the connectors match. Let me know if this works for you.

Where is this pin connector that you are talking about? The only difference should be the bulb. IIRC, the headlight and fog are in one housing. Oh I think I know what's going on. You removed them from a '94/'95 E320 and there is only one connection on the outside of the unit, is that correct? Can you post a pic...then we could probably be a little more helpful.

Yes. its the Pins outside with all the bulbs and fun on the inside.

Having same issues with my new upgraded lights. Totally different connectors.
Working through it. Any luck yet?

Have you opened up the housing yet?. It opens from the rear by sliding down the metal retaining clips. Nothing will fall out. It looks as if that pin connector is where the fog light is located. Open it up to see if there is another.

that outter connector Splits off and goes to both fog and mains. It's some sort of integrated source

Sorry, but I haven't ran into this issue yet. I'll keep an eye on this thread so I'll know for the future. IMO I think you might have to change the connectors(cut and solder) make sure colors are correct and then plug in.

on my 92 It was remove pins from old harness, picked up a new harness, swapped wires/pins over voila. done. Had to go from a 4 pin to a 6 pin setup.
