Just mount that to the front Euro bracket and you should be good to go. Or as I said before, a cheaper option is to snag a rear license plate holder off of a US spec W126 or W123 chassis wagon and attach that to the Euro bracket.

It's not a Euro part. An EPC search of the part number will show you that it was installed on US spec cars ONLY.

For the record, I have the World Cars subscription with access to all cars.

Okay then... So the Classic Center did give me a useful part number. Seeing the part, I can only say that it isn't exactly what I envisioned, but I suppose it could be made to work.

If I recall correctly, and my notes indicate that I was always under this impression, it was described to me that it could somehow take the place of the front Euro bracket. Looking at it, I'm not so sure of that, but I do see how it could bolt to an existing Euro bracket. Looks like it's time for someone to experiment.

You might still need the Euro plate bracket. The holes on the bumper seems to be too wide. And you'll still need the plastic fasteners I pointed to earlier, the holes on the bumper will be too big for screws.

The bracket that Joe pointed to is technically for the rear plate so it's flat and the mounting threads on the body (w126 rear panel under trunk lid, or w123 tail gate) are already there. But it just might work. I've never seen it on the front plate before.

Edited a previous response to reflect correct information. I also don't like passing along bad info.

You don't really the license-plate bracket; you can mount the US plate directly to the Euro bumper using the same plastic slides that MBeige mentioned. The slides act as nuts for the screws that normally attach the bracket to the bumper, but in your case you can put a couple of holes in the plate and use the same screws.

As effective as that may be, some states might classify that as a modified or mutilated plate, so it could be illegal. It's definitely worth checking in to if you're the sort of person that is concerned about following the letter of the law. I only mention it because I myself was warned by a police officer in Tacoma a few years ago for driving a car on which a plate had been attached by adding two extra holes at the edge of the plate which did not block any of the lettering. (The factory thread holes were stripped out completely on the front of a '96 Taurus, so two tiny holes and screws seemed like a good way to attach the plate to the moulded plastic frame.)

That's right, you'll still need the Euro bracket. It should go like this.
1. Mount Euro front bracket to front bumper
2. Bolt the adapter (123-817-01-11) to the Euro front bracket
3. Mount plate
