Every EGR I have pull off at PNP from the 617 engine, the hole going into the manifold has been plugged tight from the blowby and soot. so it seems most of these engines are in the 200K mile range.

When I removed the intake manifold on our 85, it had less than 200k, and was plugged tight.

Using a BB to disable most of these EGR`s probably doesn`t do much good if it plugged. probably a good idea to see if they are plugged.

Removing the manifold and cleaning out the crud build up along with the EGR delete would be most beneficial for the air volumn flow.
