Hi Bulldog,
welcome to the forum.
If you need help with a diesel Mercedes this is the place to be.
There is a page on this site called open discussion, you are welcome to discuss other things like Christmas presents there.

Thank you layback, and some diesel talk...

I bought the camera so I can post pics of my new w123.

The person who sold it to me listed it without a picture on Craigslist in Seattle.

I flew to seattle and paid him and flew back immediately leaving the car at a Mercedes dealership in Seattle.

At the dealership, they put on akebono brakes and fixed the vacuum with some special order parts.

Also, the thermostat was replaced oem, and injection return lines replaced and well as all brake lines oem. Also I had to replace the dash light switch.

Currently, I want to replace the hood springs but my mechanic is wondering why i would want to do that. Sort of want to know if other owners replace or just paint these.

So I am happy to buy a camera as I am probably the last person not to have a digital camera and there were some unfulfilled requests to see some pictures of my car.

Dealer price to replace all the metal brake lines? Curiosity makes me ask. Although others as well might be interested. Nice to see you have also joined the best site out there for the average guy.

David,

Welcome to PeachParts. Your 300CD has been a long awaited car for some BW members. Hopefully you could show us this car you've been talking about and which you bought sight unseen for the price you mentioned.

Are those BBS wheels going on your CD?

BB S R/S and Brake Lines

Yes , just got back from Fast Forward Wheels in Monterey Park. Elvis and I decided on the paint job for the BB/S.

I will look at the receipt and post the price for the brake lines later as I have to finish some work now before 5pm.

Most all '81 wagons had the turbo stateside, most all D's and CD's did not. Some late 81 model year CD's did have the 617-952 (turbo) but most did not. It is rare to have a 81 CD with a turbo, but not unheard of.

By the way, I'm still posting in the DD, but quite unhappy with the removal of Brian Carlton as the moderator here and in OD. I may stop posting here for a undetermined time as a protest.
