W126 Broken drive ear, what to replace?

I recently put my car ('87 300sdl) into drive after driving it around and... nothing. Not a peep. I tried every other gear and nothing at all. Checked the linkage and everything is good. Disconnected a trans cooler line and the front pump is still pumping.

So my question is this; assuming that I misassembled the torque converter and broke the drive ear inside the transmission, what part am I looking for and how far apart will I need to take the trans to get to it? Just remove the front pump or is there more to it?

Or is it more likely that I broke the drive ear on the TC?

Thanks!

Anyone want to trade an old Volvo for an '87 300sdl?
