New Trani Problem

In my 84 300SD the shifting is very smooth in alll gears during normal driving but when shifting from 3 to 4 with light throttle and low speed there is a thump. I feel this is not doing the drive train any good.
Have any of you experienced this problem.
Thanks

Most likely caused by a slight vacuum loss at the vacuum control valve OR vacuum valve for EGR leaking.

Thanks Doc. The line on the vacuum control was cracked underneath and out of sight, just old I guess. I replaced the hose and the 3 - 4 shift smoothed out. Love it when there is an easy fix.
