Went to see this car locally today, recommended by my optician doctor friend (who clearly hadn't seen the car). I don't have any pictures. The body was in poor shape (rust, paint) and I don't have body restoration skills; the interior was musty/moldy; dash cover; wood in poor condition. Lady's husband died last October and left four white MB's; 91 SL500, 97 E420 sedan, 99 E320 wagon... and the 300CD. I like the coupe body style, and I've missed the diesel I had before. This car is on the south side of Richmond VA. I had to break it to her carefully that she might not realize the $4K she wants. I said probably lucky to get $1K.

sounds like she has a few good cars, and this poor example of rust... perhaps chad would take it on... I'd LOVE a CD, but rust is not my friend...
1K is generous, but for someone needing a good CD parts car, it might just be worth it. the mildew, means the rust is in the bad spots, battery tray and windshield rear deck... eeeww...
