Dumb question I suppose but why does the HBOL tell you to mark all the head/cam bolts and put them back in the same exact place and the FSM does not? Or did I miss that somehow in the FSM? Be gentle, you all should be proud that a total greenie has no fear and is stripping down a 617. Man, I have learned a lot about these motors already!

John, thanks again for the thread link. The OP had it listed as a #8 metric and in fact it was a #6. It threaded nicely, I put a deep dish socket over the 2" bolt, then a washer, then the nut. Tightened the nut and voila out it comes. Really pretty easy.
