At PepBoys I found that all the decent car guys would do this. It's about half the cost of installation too.

I keep a (cheapie) torque wrench in each car and I watch the NTB guy and "encourage" him to use one, also I retorque the wheels after a few miles. Surprised no one has mentioned that, I think it's SOP.

P.S. 635CSi, you have my sympathy. Wish your customer Good luck on his small claims suit.
