heh, cool... too bad most parts of the app are for gassers...
still, the gearing and tire sections apply.
I wonder what the rpm part is for? probably related to gears/tires.

I would guess its to tell you your RPM through the trap dependant on MPH, tire size and rear end gear

You can also get tools for android smartphone that connect to an ODBII dongle, that do everything from read engine data to resetting odometers and fault codes.

definitely "tools" and not "toys"

EPC is easy on the android (droid X anyway). I also enjoy the aDyno app which gives a lot of virtual dyno, lap times, acceleration times etc., and Torque which talks with a BlueTooth OBDII dongle to give and log real-time data from the ECU including faults, performance data, even ABS and SRS faults plus resetting CEL.

It sure eats battery life though, ... which is the pain of using apps on a powerful little computer with a reasonably large LCD screen.

well, you could, you know, get a 12v cigar lighter phone charger, essential if you are going to use the phone for navigation anyways...
