Your Original Window Sticker

Hi all,
If anyone is interested, i just faxed a request to MB for a copy of my original window sticker.

You must send it to the attn: of "Customer Assistance"
and request a copy of your original "Monroney Label"
You must include proof of ownership ie; copy of Title or Registration and a copy of your drivers licence.
They will mail it to your home address.
Fax #201-476-6213

Best part is,....... its FREE!!!!

I did this 2 weeks ago, but forgot to write "Monorey Label". Didn't matter they sent it to me any ways. It took only one week. This was for my '83 TD. I got an invoice also for my SD, but that was done simply by requesting it over their website. At that time they didn't require proof of ownership.

Exactly $34,612. In today's dollars that is about $60,000. My SD, in 1980 retailed for $33,473, which is about $72,000 today. So I am suspecting your sedan will be in the same price range as my wagon. With regard to these original prices, keep in mind that MB built in a nice fat profit for the dealerships. For my SD, the dealer's cost was $26K and change, so they made a $7,000 profit on that car.

Amazing isn't it?
And they still run and ride beautifully after all these years !!
I noticed that you are a member of MBCA, can you tell what is involved with becoming a member and some of the benefits?
Thanks

Randall,

I noticed you have a photo of the M-100 engine in 6.9 liter form under your name in your posts. Cool! Love my '79 6.9, and I just put a rebuilt tranny back in her. Going to begin prep for the M-100 Group show in Seattle, Washington this summer! We're driving from Ohio and are very excited indeed!

Aaron, I am very much so taken by the 6.9... Would love to own one one day... Especially a Euro model in a rare, odd color. Enjoy your car, its perhaps one of the best benzes built!
