Changed water pump ... now no coolant circulation ...
... can anybody tell me what I need to do to get this darn thing working? I ran it up to about 185F and then shut it off; it was still blowing ice cold out the heater vents. Strategic heater-hose removals revealed there was no flow going on.
I guess my next move is to pull the T-stat and see if that fixes the problem, but I thought I oughtta see if any of you guys were familiar with this phenomenon. Thanks! --Finn p.s. I also removed the inop A/C compressor, in case that is relevant. There was a line that plugged into the T-stat housing, which I pulled -- I figured it was a sensor -- maybe it was a valve? I'm stumped.

Before you remove anything, be SURE you don't have an air bubble in the system. Air will prevent good flow, and it's sometimes difficult to get it all out.

Gotta be an air bubble. Nothing else I can think of. Any ideas for how to get rid of it?

Yup I'm guessing an air bubble too. Sometimes squeezing the upper raditor hose a bunch of times will push the air through. Or try pointing the front of the car up hill while running it to encourage the bubbles to work back up to the raditor.

Park on a hill with the front up. Remove the upper radiator hose and fill the block through that hose. Reattach the hose. On that hill, run the engine with the heater on full blast. That should burp it.
