Quick question, posting from my phone here. is this a heater vent?

Yes. I believe there is one on each side under the seats. As for what setting activate them I am unsure..

Yes, there is a section missing tho. Should send heist to the rear passengers whenever the heat unit is on, other than defrost.

What's missing? I thought that the picture shown above is #242 in the parts diagram which can be found directly under the front seats, and # 239 is like the elbow on the front floor going to the center console?

Yep thats it. Nothing is missing. The curved piece is under the carpet and sound absorber in front of the front seats.

I'm pretty sure it specifies in the owners manual when and how the air comes out of these vents. It does in mine... It has been a while since I opened the owners manual. Same concept as on the W123.

Sorry, I was thinking the pic was from the other end of the car (the back seat on the right).
