W126 spring swap
Contemplating a spring swap from my parts car to the DD. Front and rear. Parts car will not be making the trip to the shop with lifts, but will have to be worked on in the driveway. Any ideas about time required to r&r the springs? ( I intend to rent a spring compressor from someone here on the forum....Brian?)
The PO of the parts car said that the springs were replaced at ~400k, car currently has 500k. My DD has 300k, and most assuredly sits lower than parts car. Looking for the added ride height to better accommodate the 16" wheels. Can't think of any reason why the parts car would ride higher on both ends (AFAIK the spring rubbers are the same on both vehicles) unless the older springs are finally giving up a little. Maybe someone with the FSM knows what the ride height is supposed to be?

I can't give you a time frame but when I swapped rear springs on my old SD it didn't take all that long. Took a very long time to find the nut from the shock that I lost. I went from rusty/broken 400k mile springs to 100k ones. Night and day difference.
