The Ultra Black that I cleaned off was kind of soft and rubbery.

did it leak? of course it will be rubbery, but if applied to clean surface, and allowed to cure before pressurized and or exposed to oil, it'll stay indefinitely.

oil in turbo intake - rebuild?

.
Oil definitely drains but if stuck open that would suggest that oil is moving up and pooling in the seperator, Yes? The seperator is clean and does not show evidence of oil dripping into it from above or moving up and into it from below -weird!

I upgraded from the round plastic tube that goes from the valve cover to the oil separator to the flat one that has baffles in it. I also sealed the separator with RTV black. The results were good, and even though the RTV black wasn't able to hold for more than 6 months, it was easy to clean off and do the job again.
I did reseal mine and I have the updated flat baffled hose as well -

Aha! Can't believe I missed this before. I noticed that upon removing my filter that some of the oil was not making it into the separator nipple that pokes out through the bushing on the top of the air cleaner housing lid (I have the updated hose) Much of it was spilling down the nipple, flowing across the top of the separator and then down into the bottom of the air cleaner housing due to a loose fit on hose to nipple. I put a viton oil ring on nipple which creates a more positive connection between nipple connection and hose. I will post pics and check in a hundred miles or so to see what I find -
