When I turn my parking lights on it comes on. I’ve checked all 4 parking light bulbs and they are all lit. The other problem that may or may not be related is the left side and right side parking lights don’t light when I turn them on. I’m wondering if something is wrong with the switch. Any ideas on where to start trouble shooting?

Osram (European, Sylvania Bulbs)
[NO JAPANESE,NO KOREAN,NO 'MERICAN]
OF THE EXACT WATTAGE CALLED FOR ON THE LIGHT'S grey metal Backing Plate.
The Wattage is Stamped onto the Backing plate.

Clean ALL the Contacting surfaces of the Lighting System involved.

(Hint: the "Lamp Out" relay ONLY DEALS WITH EXTERNAL BULBS)
(ANOTHER HINT: CHECK THE LICENSE PLATE LAMPS!!!)

Parking Lamps light up when used in the CONUS style , BUT Not when used
in the E.U. Style.
Yeah, You MAY be looking at a BAD Light Switch.(FUSES +Contacts first)

Start Troubleshooting with the basics ALWAYS...
A DMM and an ETM Schematic for your chassis.

Thanks for the quick reply. One of the license plate bulbs is burned out. I'll replace it and report back.

I'm not sure that explains why the parking lights work when I turn the switch one turn clockwise, but they don't work as side marker lights when I turn one or two clicks counterclockwise.

So it was the license plate bulb as you suggested.

The side marker lamps were just me. I was trying to get them to light when the car was running. They only work when the car is not running. At least that is how they function on my car.

Thanks for the help. Now on to my next problem rear end noise.

The side marker lighting feature is designed to work just as you described yours. When you are driving the option have one side or the other light up is not cool - TUV didn't like that - so you cannot run those lights with the key turned in the starter switch.
