W126 (300sdl) instrument cluster NEED HELP

hi gang,

I have a broken connector to my instrument cluster please look at the attached pic. Does anyone have a pic that relates pin 1 on the connector to pin 1 on the cluster connector? i don't see any markings on the cluster ..

eh, after searching i see i'm not the only one ... no good solutions on the others i guess i'll head out to pull-a-part.

Can you get the broken piece out of the cluster? if you align the broken piece with the hole it left, you can use some JB weld and glue the half moon piec back on or at lear orientate the plug with the broken off half moon locator and figure out how it goes back together. Do you know how to pull the cluster out? There should be DIY's on pulling the cluster.

hi yes i have the cluster out. I can't find that broken piece i looked everywhere. maybe PO lost it though CO could be blamed...

Thanks for the response though. I'm looking for a schematic for the male pinouts on the cluster board. if i had that i could mark the # 1 pin on the cluster and mark #1 on the edge of the connector.

Let me know if you know of or hear about a schematic for his. I have the shop manual still looking

this resolved it

Someone else mentioned this but once i saw it I simply marked pin 1 on the cluster board, and marked the edge of the plug at pin 1 and now all is well.
