1985 300D Part HELP Needed !!

Help,
I just broke what I geuss is a one-way vacuum valve. The part is on the main vacuum line leading from the front of the engine to the power brake vacuum canister. It is white facing towards the brake reservoir, grey pointing the other way. It's attached to a 4 way connector via a small fitting coming off the valve. I leaned on it and snapped the small fitting. This is what provides vac for engine shut down.
I'm thinking this is a common problem valve. Anyone have a part number? Can someone point me to it at the site here? I'm going to attempt a jury rig so the engine will shut down. Sucking on the line where it broke off kills the engine as does the stop lever so I'm OK that way but this car is my daily commuter and I need to get it back up quick.

Thanks very much

Repair.

Find a piece of tubing whose OD is about the same as the ID of the check valve/hose barb. Drill both out a little if necessary. Apply JB weld carefully - won't take much - to both ends of your sleeve - the bit of tubing - push everything together. Follow me? Otherwise, you have to replace the entire vacuum supply tube, from the pump to the booster.

I've had to do this more times than I'd care to admit. Those things get BRITTLE! If I'm working anywhere near them, now, I usually remove the hose.

They have the part available here. I think you have to buy the whole line though. The check valve you speak of is part of the line. Takes about 5 minutes to remove and replace the line.

Look above in the Buy Parts" section. Search Fastlane for "Booster Vacuum Hose".

Thanks folks. Doing an epoxy patch for today. I'll order the whole thing later today. Very brittle. All I was trying to do was hook up my windshield washers again. What a pita for such a junk job. At least I like the car, so level of pissoffedness is under control.
