OK overheating issues are solved! Sorry for the delay. I was away this whole weekend. ah-kay suggested I put back my old thermostat since it was good and to start checking other issues with the overheating. Well, I had a wahler thermostat that I knew worked, so I put that in instead. Now the car stays in the low 80s even with the A/C on. It's amazing to drive the car now and not have to worry about blasting the heat in 90 degree weather to keep the car cool. I find myself with nothing constantly to worry about while driving. Very odd feeling hah. I did not jump the wires for the aux fan.

So not sure what the issue was. I tested the thermostat that was in the car and it's fine. It wasn't on backwards. The wahler thermostat looked smaller than the behr one. I don't know if that makes a difference. Do new behr thermostats need time to "break in"?

Thanks for everyone for your help! I love this forum!!!
