Help removing headliner + sunroof panels 1984 W123 300D

I need help on removing the vinyl covered panel that holds the sun visors and rearview mirror. I have a sunroof on W123 300DTurbo 1984. The vinyl has shrunk a bit, lost it's glue and now sagging loose along the edge of the windshield. I'd like to remove this panel so I can stretch and re-glue the vinyl.
Can anyone offer suggestions how to remove this panel?

I just had a local shop re-do mine. It was a PITA because of all of the corners and curves. But, they got it done and used new material. It is almost impossible to re-use the old material unless you have a way to "vacuum bag" it properly. Plus it looked like hell.

Windshield header trim panel removal

Edit: I was just reading my instructions in the above link and realized that I forgot a step. Once you yank the mirror out, you need to remove the "rear view mirror bracket" and associated screws. The panel is secured to the roof by the rear view mirror bracket and sunvisors.

That link is pretty much dead on with the removal. A couple things. you should remove the "A" pillers first, the over head panel fits behind them as I remember. the FSM mentions to remove them first.

There are 2 clips, one up from the bottom 4 inches or so and one from the top down about the same. pry with a plastic wedge towards the windshield and to the right, then the top.(right side) left side the same but bottom towards the left to clear the speaker.

The visor clips, I use a small Allen wrench to pop the little door down and open to get access to the Phillips screw. stick the "L" end in where the visor clips in, then pry down and it will open. just screw them up trying to pry it open with a screwdriver. that little flap piece is fragile, can break off easily.
