Question So how many grille emblems do you have?

So when I purchase a Mercedes one day, I might want to have a couple, but how many do the people on here have? I'm sure many have the MBCA badge and and some might have the 500,000 KM or 1,000,000 KM ones but what else?

So, judging by your name, are you a Florida fan? Just taking a wild guess

Two, but I haven't gotten around to installing either yet. I'll be putting the 500,000 km badge on when I have time. The 250,000 km one doesn't strike me as a major accomplishment, so I'll be leaving that one off.

Its very much a USA thing.
MB car clubs over here dont bother with them.
Interesting that you talk in terms of KM & not miles. I thought the USA still used miles.

Well since Mercedes is German they do it in KM and I don't thinks its different for the US... I think the only one they have for the US is the 1,000,000 mile but it might even have that listed in KM... Here is some info about the marks by which you can get the award: http://daveknowscars.com/2010/02/07/the-mercedes-benz-high-mileage-award-does-your-car-qualify/

We still use miles but the badges only come in kilometers. At 312K miles I sent for the 500K kilometer badge. I have both the 250K and 500K badges on the grill of my '84. I kind of like them. Stirs up conversation and people find out more about the longevity of diesels.

I view these as clutter, like bumper stickers of the 70's.

I have the 250K and the 500K badge for the 85 300D. I don`t keep them on, but do put them on at a GTG. I also have the Mercedes Shop.com Badge that is a rare one.

I do not like these stickers, grille or bumper stickers, the only time that I placed one on my 240D was right after 9/11, it was a 2”x3” US flag, in two weeks the red and blue colors were totally gone, faded, turned out to be a made in China junk.

250k km for 300D (232k miles)
250k km for 300TE (265k miles)
250k km for 190E (228k miles)
250k & 500k km for 300TD (371k miles)

But they all sit on my bookshelf along with other grille badges.

no more than one per grill. i think a nicely positioned mercedes issued mileage badge or a euro delivery badge looks classy on a 123/126. father had 250k and 500k on his 87 300d and it looked cluttered due to the more "modern" styling of a 124.

I agree. I think one badge can look classy, but more starts to get cluttered.
